Q1 - How do I buy a gift card？
When you navigate to the gift card section, you have two options for purchasing a gift card. You can either buy a gift card using Australian dollars or utilize your own cryptocurrency to gift as a gift card.
Using Australian Dollar
• Click on “Buy and Send.”
• Purchase the gift card using your AUD balance on your Virgo account.
Using Cryptocurrency
• Select the “Gift from crypto balance” option.
• Specify the amount of cryptocurrency you want to send as a gift card to your friends or loved ones.
These options provide flexibility, allowing you to choose the currency that suits your preferences for gifting.
Q2 - Who can I send gift card to?
You can send the gift card to any of your friends, family members and loved ones. As the card is only redeemable on Virgo, they need to have a verified Virgo account or have Australian government issued ID (Driver’s license or passport) to create a Virgo account.
Q3 - Is there any fees for sending gift card?
No, Gift card is free. There is no fee.
Q4 - Does my friend have to have a Virgo account to redeem the gift card?
A4: Yes, only a verified user can redeem the gift card. If your friend does not have a Virgo Account, they can easily create one by verifying their Australian government-issued ID (Driver’s license or passport).
Q5 - Does my gift card expire?
The gift card does not expire. However, the sender may choose to cancel the gift card, in that case the recipient will not be able to use the code to redeem the gift. If the sender chooses to cancel the card, both sender and the recipient will receive email about the cancellation.
Q6 - What happens after I send a gift card?
After you send a gift card the recipient will receive an email with gift card code and instructions about how to redeem it. The gifted amount will be frozen on the sender’s wallet until the recipient redeems the gift card or the sender cancels it.
Q7 - How do I cancel a gift card I already sent?
You can access your sent gift card information on the gift card transaction history page, From there you can cancel the gift card. You can not cancel a gift card after the recipient redeems it. No recall or refund is possible after redemption.
Q8 - What happens if had sent the gift card to a wrong email address?
Please ensure the recipients email address is correct and secure because whoever has the code has the crypto. If you think the email address was wrong or compromised, you need to cancel the card as soon as possible before anyone redeems it.
Q9 - How can I redeem the gift card if the sender cancels it?
Once a gift card is canceled by the sender, the recipient will no longer be able to redeem it. If you encounter issues redeeming a canceled gift card, it's recommended to contact the sender.
